Sue McNatt

My interest in the field of physical therapy began as a young high school runner when I experienced my first injury.  I was evaluated and treated by a physical therapist. I enjoyed the relationship I developed with her.  She helped me recover from my injury and educated me on the causes as well as future injury prevention.  After that experience, I aspired to become a therapist.  This desire was further enhanced by volunteer experiences in high school at a local clinic.

From there I went on to receive an undergraduate degree in psychology in preparation for my masters in physical therapy.  I competed at the Division 1 level in track and field and x-country at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I gained additional personal experience with injuries and their physical and psychological effects during my four years of collegiate running.

I went on to pursue my graduate courses at Boston University and earn my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1990, which provided a firm foundation in the field on physical therapy.  I enjoyed learning about and treating with manual therapy techniques and continued to pursue that as an interest through continuing education courses.

I began working with Vicki Eddy in 1992 and from there strengthened my skills in manual therapy.  I also worked in home health care, part-time for 2 years. I started at One on One with Vicki in 1999. I enjoy and appreciate the time spent with each patient, providing consistent and quality care and on-going evaluation, as well as education of the patient.  I have continued to strengthen my knowledge in the manual therapy field, taking one or two courses per year which will culminate in the completion of a Certification of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.

As a mother of 3 young children and working part-time, I continue to participate in my passions of running and x-country skiing, racing on the local scene in both disciplines several times per season.  I also work with a local running club as the women’s team captain, designing workouts throughout the year.  I enjoy hiking, swimming and x-country skiing with my children and husband and volunteering at various events at the children’s schools.

“Sue McNatt is a great physical therapist.  I have known her since she, Brenda, and Vicki worked together on Washington Street in Wellesley.  Over the years I have sent family members, friends, and coworkers to Sue. Everyone leaves that office knowing they have just had a medical experience that could not be reproduced in a traditional clinic. Never has anyone had anything but great results and resolution of the problems they went in for. I would rather skip a fancy meal out and pay out of pocket for Sue.  This way I am always assured that I will get the correct answers and the correct plan to remedy by problem.  She is the best!”
